Shoes
All athletes must wear running shoes to practice (for protection). Tennis shoes, street shoes, slippers, flip-flops or other shoes will not be allowed.
These shoes may be purchased at any qualified retail store, but we have discount cards for Chick’s in the Market Place that will save a lot of money.
When purchasing these shoes, try on a good number of them and purchase the ones that are the most comfortable. Make sure you allow for ample toe room.
I strongly recommend bringing flip-flops or other comfortable shoes to meets to put on after the race (you will find out how good it feels to take off the running shoes after a race).
Ask any coach to help you with running shoes and why they are so important.
