Beckman will provide on a checkout, check-in basis a complete uniform to be worn to all meets and time trials. These uniforms should not be worn during daily workouts. Beckman will also provide a team bag to carry all needed equipment. Athletes should purchase biker shorts (boys and girls) and running bras (girls) to be worn under the uniforms. By CIF rules, all under garments must be of solid colors and must match those of teammates in relays. Please read the attached CIF rules on this topic. All athletes attending all Track & Field meets on our schedule are required to wear the complete uniform to every meet, whether they are competing or not. One of our goals is to always represent Beckman High School in a professional and highly ethical manner. Do not wear street clothing or other warm ups to these events. The uniforms and bags must be checked in as soon as the season ends. Any athlete who loses any checked out uniform piece or bag will be required to pay full price for that item in order to receive a passing grade.

All athletes should purchase the 2008 Spirit Pack (information attached), which is a $200 investment. Each athlete will receive a complete warm-up top and bottom; practice t-shirt, practice shorts, and ticket to the banquet. This year we will also be selling a new back pack with our Beckman logo.  The money we raise from this Spirit Pack will help to purchase needed equipment for the Track & Field program, will enable the team to travel to big meets in other geographical areas that we may choose, provide athlete scholarships as needed, provide coaches’ stipends as needed etc. All expenditures are approved by the Booster Club and the Head Coach. A complete accounting of expenditures will be available.
